Services
I am Merle Meyer, a sexologist and accredited mental health social worker passionate about fostering authentic connections with my clients. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, ensuring a safe and non-judgmental environment for individuals, couples, and young people to explore their mental health, sexuality, and relationship concerns. I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in every aspect of my practice.

My expertise spans a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, sexual trauma, substance misuse, grief, relationship difficulties, and sexuality aspects. I provide evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to meet each client's unique needs. My sex-positive approach accommodates clients from diverse sexual backgrounds, relationship styles, genders, and sexualities. I guide individuals and couples in enhancing communication, emotional intimacy, and sexual connection, exploring sexual challenges and opportunities, and providing a supportive space to understand and address the factors contributing to or sustaining challenging situations.
As a seasonal residential facilitator and tutor at Geraldton University Centre, affiliated with Central Queensland University, I am dedicated to nurturing the growth of future social work and psychology professionals.

My qualifications include a Master of Social Work and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health Science (CBT) from Flinders University, a BA in Social Science (Psychology and Social Work), and an Advanced Diploma in Policing and Administration from the University of South Africa. Additionally, I hold a Master of Sexology (Professional) from Curtin University.
