Couples therapy and Sexology ; Where does it cross over?

For many couples in longer term relationships, it's not unusual to see their intimacy change or decline in the midst of  what life throws at them.

As sexologists, we strive to help couples reconnect from a sexual point of view, but what happens when, in order to get there, couples must learn to reconnect on all other levels first?

In this session, we will talk about some useful psycho-education material that may benefit therapists and clients alike in the cross over. This includes the circular model of desire, dual control model, pursuer/distancer cycle, and Gottman's 4 horsemen (killers of intimacy).
