About the Society of Australian SexologistsThe Society of Australian Sexologists Ltd (SAS) represents health and allied health professionals working in the area of sex therapy, sexuality education, sexual health and sexology. SAS is a member-organisation of the World Association of Sexual Health (WAS). SAS is a founding organisation of the Australian Sexual and Reproductive Health Alliance (ASRHA) – a body of professional organisations working in sexual health. SAS is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. SAS offers membership, professional development, career support, and supervision as well as an accreditation pathway for sexologists practising as psychosexual therapists and sexuality educators. Members abide by a strict Code of Ethics and Practice and the WAS Millennium Declaration of Sexual Rights. One of the goals of SAS is to self-regulate the practice of Psychosexual Therapy and Sexuality Education, for the protection of our communities, in particular, those at an increased risk and vulnerability.
