SAS Student Networking Meeting May 2023

Hi SAS student members:

We are pleased to confirm the next SAS student meeting is on Monday 8 May, 7.30PM, AEST.

Federica Zamboni is our illustrious guest speaker in May, presenting Psychosocial and Psychosexual Information Needs of People Diagnosed with Genital Herpes.

We will hear the results of Federica’s research on receiving a diagnosis of HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus) and learn about Genital HSV transmission and treatment, and discuss the main sources of stigma.

Federica will discuss the patient experience under the current diagnostic model and suggest ways the diagnostic experience can be improved. Participants will receive psychoeducation about HSV and learn best practice methods for managing clients with an HSV diagnosis and how we can better support them.
