Expression of sexuality by older people, particularly those with dementia, can be challenging and confronting for residential aged care staff, families and other carers.
Dr Cindy Jones developed an online education intervention in 2013 to increase knowledge and improve attitudes of residential aged care staff towards the expression of sexuality by older people including those with dementia.
Join the NSW Society of Australian Sexology branch as we explore dementia and sexuality with Dr Jones. This session aims to provide:
- An orientation to Dementia
- An orientation to Sexuality challenges in the context of Dementia
- An opportunity to engage in discussion and Questions with a specialist expert
- An orientation to best practice interventions for psychosexual therapy and sexuality education regarding Dementia and expression of sexuality.
