Hi SAS student members:

We are pleased to confirm the next SAS student meeting is on

Monday 12 February, 7.30PM, AEST.

Kicking off an exciting year of presentations is Cyan Donatti (they/them), who will be speaking with us about Questions and Aces! Cyan is a non-binary, asexual, neurodivergent Sexologist, and provisional Psychologist. Their background of working with LGBTQIA young people rests on a speciality thesis exploring the lived experiences of asexual individuals. Questions & Aces offers a discussion on the oft left-out sexual identity, Cyan’s thesis and a review of more contemporary literature, before discussing clinical implications for working with people who are, or are thinking they are, asexual. There will be tangents! Participants will leave this presentation understanding more about asexuality and how it may impact an individual and their relationships, and you’ll hear about some tools to help others understand their asexuality. Cyan will also discuss minority stress and what this looks like for asexual people.
