All SAS members are invited to attend the
2024 Annual General Meeting
Friday 18th October 2024
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM (AEDT)
2024 is voting year!
All SAS financial members are invited to vote in the next Executive Committee for the next 2 year term.
We are accepting nominations up until the AGM.
If you are interested in being nominated, the form is attached below. You will need a current Executive Committee member to nominate you.
All SAS members are invited to vote on important constitutional changes that will enable SAS to be more responsive to our member's needs and be more efficient as an organisation.
From Ella Shannon, our National Chair;
It came to our attention after the 2022 AGM that our constitution is no longer fit for purpose. Our status as a Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee calls for certain things to be outlined in our constitution- so we need to update it in order to remain compliant with the Australian Charities and Non-Profit Commission legislation. The current constitution is from 2013.
There are also some items that need to be changed so that we can manage the organisation more efficiently.
The update does not create any changes for the way SAS is currently governed.
We have been working with a legal firm that specialises in non-profit law for the last 12 months, and have come up with a draft.
We need your 'Yes' vote for the 2024 AGM to enshrine the new constitution, with 75% of the membership needed for a resolution.
Thank you for your support!
