Dr. Rachael Gibson  - www.amaze.org

Rachael E. Gibson, PhD, MPH, MS, MEd (she/her) is an AASECT certified sex educator, professional development specialist, professor, and speaker. Dr. Gibson has over 20 years of experience in the health and sexuality education field. Her research examines the interactions between teacher and learner identities to improve pedagogical practice.


Professor Helen O'Connell - https://oconnellurology.com.au/

Professor O'Connell was elected Vice -President of USANZ in 2021. She was the first female Urologist in Australia and New Zealand, completing training in Melbourne in 1993 followed by a Fellowship in Female and Functional Urology in Houston, USA in 1994-5. Her doctoral studies in female pelvic anatomy have achieved international renown leading to significant conceptual changes in both medical and lay literature. Her higher degrees were conferred at the University of Melbourne where she became Professor in 2013 and Head of Department of Urology and Surgery in 2016._ _ _ _In 2014 Professor O'Connell became a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, completing its diploma in 2011 whilst a director for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand. In 2019 she led a successful Australian Government bid to establish the Australasian Pelvic Floor Procedure Registry to improve the outcomes associated with mesh SUI and POP implantation and explantation procedures. It is a collaborative effort with Monash University Registries, the Australian Commission for Quality and Safety in Health Care, the Therapeutic Goods Administration and leading pelvic floor surgeons and consumers.

She has been Principal investigator on a large number of clinical trials for drugs and devices for overactive bladder, stress incontinence in men and women and benign prostatic hyperplasia. Her current clinical interests are native tissue pelvic floor repairs, minimally invasive approaches to pelvic floor mesh removal and benign prostate surgery. 

In 2021 Professor O'Connell was named an Officer (AO) in the Order of Australia: For distinguished service to medical education, and to medicine, in the field of urology, as an academic and clinician, and to professional groups.

Kerrin has delivered sexuality education to tens of thousands of people from Kindergarten students to United Nations staff. They are currently training the Queensland Police Service on recognising and responding to Intimate Partner Sexual Violence and have worked closely with the QPS and Match.com/Tinder on a campaign to address technology facilitated violence. Kerrin is also involved in the training of staff and volunteers for the Safer Schoolies Response including running a biannual gender and safety audit of the nightlife precinct. 


Sophie Hindes - https://sophiehindes.com/

Sophie is a researcher, writer, advocate and teacher who is dedicated to reducing sexual violence through more ethical sexual communication. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, researching sexual consent in queer relationships, and how queer people navigate sexual pleasure.

Joan Price - www.joanprice.com

Joan Price is the author of four books about senior sex, including the award-winning Naked at Our Age: Talking Out Loud about Senior Sex and Sex after Grief: Navigating Your Sexuality after Losing Your Beloved. An internationally popular public speaker and sex educator, Joan has been writing and speaking about senior sex since 2005. She is the co-creator of the film, "jessica drake's Guide to Wicked Sex: Senior Sex," which won the Audiovisual Award 2020 from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). Her blog offers senior sex news, views, and sex toy reviews from a senior perspective. At age 78, Joan Price continues to talk out loud about senior sex partnered or solo in live and virtual presentations and webinars.


Dr. Russ Pratt - https://www.primeforensicpsychology.com/

Russ is a registered Forensic and Counselling Psychologist, with over 20-years-experience. Between 1998 and 2010, Russ worked in the AWARE program (providing therapeutic services for sexually abusive youth) at Southern Health (now Monash Health) at the South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (SECASA) eventually being the Manager and Senior Clinician. Between 2010 and 2017, Russ was one of two specialist executive-level Statewide Principal Practitioners in the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services, with responsibility for Child Protection practice across the state of Victoria. 

Russ has significant experience in complex cases involving children and adolescents, sexual assault victims and survivors of all ages, adult sex offenders, children with sexual behaviour problems and adolescents who sexually harm. He also has a clinical research interest in pornography and its impact on sexually abusive youth, and youth sexual practice in general. Other interests are clinical supervision, psychological assessment and interviewing, adult sex-offenders and high-risk complex case matters. Since 2017, he has owned and been the Director of Prime Forensic Psychology, a specialist psychological practice in Forensic Issues. 

Russ has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at over 60 national and international conferences (in Australia, the United States and Europe). He has been a member of the NSW Children’s Guardian’s Expert Advisory Panel, an ANZATSA Board Member, a Member of ATSA’s Juvenile Issues Committee, an ATSA Fellow, and a Board Member of the National Adolescent Perpetrator Network (NAPN: USA). He has appeared as a witness in VCAT, Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts in Victoria, and South Australia. In 2016, he appeared before the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, being well-referenced in the final report. He has recently been appointed to the National Clinical Reference Group reporting to Prime Minister & Cabinet regarding a national strategy for treating youth who engage in Harmful Sexual Behaviours.

Kate Dempsey is a Sexologist and Relationship Counsellor in private practice, Townsville. She is a trauma-informed sex therapist and an embedded contractor who facilitates sessions within a Trauma Recovery Program for people diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Kate is an certified IFS therapist and on staff with an American based IFS Senior Lead Trainer as a Program Assistant to support IFS trainings at Level 2.

Kristen Campbell is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Clinical Psychosexual Therapist, practicing in Private Practice on the South Coast of NSW. Kristen has a particular interest in the impact of gender based violence on sexuality & sexual functioning.

Lynda Carlyle is an accredited Clinical Psychosexual Therapist with SAS, a Level 4 Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and is a Registered Nurse. A Life Member of SAS, Lynda has served the Society in many roles including National Chair & Victorian Branch President and is also a Standing Committee Member of the Asia Oceania Federation for Sexology (AOFS).She has presented at national and international conferences & events and appeared as an expert on national radio and in print media. Lynda is in Private Practice in Collingwood and has a practice in Cairns. She has an interest in adult products & medical devices that enhance and assist sexual functioning, and has an online store of carefully selected pleasure products.
