Hi SAS student members:

We are pleased to confirm the next SAS student meeting is on

Monday 10 July, 7.30PM, AEST.

The new Financial Year sees us welcome Melbourne Queer Psychologist, Juniper Muller (she/they) to lead an interactive session on Queering sexology as a private practice psychologist with us.

Juniper is a queer, nonbinary psychologist specialising in gender, sex, and sexuality. A passionate client activist and advocate, Juniper practices from an anti- oppressive, trauma informed, intersectional feminist framework. They work with clients across the life span (16+), predominantly from LGBTQIA+ communities.

Juniper will present on how they have built their practice working within LGBTQIA+ communities as a community member, including across therapy, education, research, and advocacy. Juniper will illuminate us about the benefits of cross-discipline learning, on navigating boundaries with community, and on sustainable practice in the field.

Juniper is delighted to take any questions you may have. This is a fantastic opportunity to ask a community member and professional who is working in the field of LGBTQIA+ sexuality those questions you’ve been too shy to ask…

Attendees will leave with enhanced knowledge of LGBTQIA+ sexuality and sexology, operating in private practice sexology/psychology, and increased confidence to work with clients with diverse genders and sexualities. This will be an interactive session, so be prepared to engage and participate! We look forward to seeing you there!

Date: Monday July 10 2023
