Dear SAS members,

We are proud to announce that SASQLD will be hosting another Professional Development event on Wednesday 16th October 2024. This is one not to be missed!

SAS Code of Ethics & Practice: Tackling Legal & Ethical Issues in our Profession presented by Thynne and Macartney Lawyers

This free event is for any SAS member from any Australian state. As this is a SAS member's only event we request that you please do not share the login details. This event will be recorded.

Presenter:

David Fisher (Partner) and Morgan Healey (Associate) from Thynne and Macartney Lawyers


Topic:

"SAS Code of Ethics & Practice: Tackling Legal & Ethical Issues in our Profession" plus Q&A time

David and Morgan have experience representing therapists when handling complaints and litigation and will be discussing the common mistakes and areas of weakness or risk, specific to sexologists working in a range of areas. Join us for a discussion on ethical and legal issues unique to sexuality professionals including: personal data collection, consent and intake forms, the importance and management of boundaries, social media, teleconference and therapist self-disclosure. Protect your clients, yourself, your business and your sexological profession by getting accurate information to support your professional practice. SAS members only.

7pm - 8pm (AEST/Qld time) Peer Supervision group session for current practicing SASQLD therapists

We encourage all SAS members to come along to this important event for in depth discussion of our professional practice as it relates to the SAS Code of Ethics.

This Professional Development presentation will be followed by a one-hour peer Group Supervision session for current practicing SASQLD therapists. SASQLD Supervision Guidelines will be provided for those who register for this event.

Come along and meet some of your sexologist colleagues and learn together in a warm, inclusive community.
