Topics include body image, identity, puberty, hygiene, friendships, consent, personal boundaries and personal safety.  This is a relationships and sexual health focused role, delivering mostly to senior primary school children. From time to time you will also be required to deliver age appropriate health education content to students in early learning centres and secondary schools.

    The Lovelife Clinic is looking to welcome an additional Sex and Relationship Therapist to our team, joining our founder Jacqueline Hellyer and associates Alain Moulay and Leslie Scholl. As a LoveLife Clinic therapist you would be promoted on the Clinic website. In exchange you pay rent for your room and a commission for client sessions. We are a supportive team, with mentoring for newer therapists and regular team meetings and hallway chats.

    Drummond Street Services (DS) is working in partnership with Neami National and Uniting to establish a Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (MH&WS) in the Latrobe region. The Service is an innovative solution to deliver on the compelling vision outlined through the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System. Offering a ‘no wrong door’ approach, the service will support members of the community to be connected to the right support, providing a holistic approach to care, addressing a range of social, physical, and emotional needs. The service will have a strong focus on lived experience and will support a high engagement, multi-disciplinary team model.

    This role is responsible for providing high quality services to LGBTIQA+ consumers experiencing mental health crisis presenting to the Latrobe Local Mental Health & Wellbeing Service. As a qualified practitioner you will draw on your discipline skills, engage with LGBTIQA+ consumers, other practitioners, the consumer's treatment team, Lived Experience staff and family/friends/carers to provide high quality assessments and interventions aimed at improving mental health outcomes for consumers accessing the Local Mental Health & Wellbeing Service. This position will have a strong emphasis on preparing the consumer to transition home. This work will focus on clinical assessment and collaborative care planning.

    Prof Alan McKee (University of Sydney) is recruiting diverse young (18-25) writers about sexuality/sex/porn to be co-authors for an academic article on healthy pornography. This is paid work, $500AU for 500 words on four porn sites to a set criteria.

    This research builds on previous work examining the criteria for pornography to support healthy sexual development.

    Scarlet Alliance, Australian Sex Workers Association, is the national peak body representing sex workers and sex worker organisations, projects, groups, and networks.

    Scarlet Alliance’s mission statement is to, through its objectives, policies and programs, work to advance Sex Worker Rights with the achievement of equality and social, legal, political, cultural health and economic justice for past and present workers in the sex industry to enable sex workers to be self-determining agents, build our own alliances and choose where and how we live and work.

    ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

    This position will report directly to the Scarlet Alliance Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is not responsible for supervising any staff. This position will at times work with and delegate to the Policy Officer, who is supervised by the National Programs Manager.

    POSITION OBJECTIVE

    This position will be responsible for effectively and efficiently supporting the CEO and membership in policy and advocacy activities for the organisation in line with the organisation’s strategic direction, core values, vision, and mission statement. This position is about creating change to advance sex worker rights through equality and social, legal, political, cultural, health and economic justice for past and present workers in the sex industry. The position holder will be required to comprehensively understand the nuances of legislation and policy as it affects sex workers, and the role of different levels of government in influencing public policy decision making in Australia.
